J Global calls the outreach component "Cross-Cultural Outreach" because no matter where your from in the world, there is something you can do inside as well as outside of your present environment to bring about a postitive and productive change. At J Global, we like to partner with and feature outreach organizations as well as projects to highten awareness and act as a liason and a bridge to for those who have a heart to help others in need.

On this particular trip Kristin will be working with full time missionaries in Costa Rica at a shelter called "The Refuge" for at-risk girls. The missionaries she will be with are also striving to set up a safe house for those who have been trafficked and need a safe place to go and be restored. Kristin will be there for two and a half months and am asking for donations to support her living expenses while she's there and also to help suppport the on-going efforts to stop human trafficking through places like the Refuge and the safe house.

Kristin's over-all mission is to motivate and inspire others to become a part of the exciting and challenging cause: to stop human trafficking world wide!
GOALS:
- To provide awareness about how to fight for the 2.5 million people who are currently being trafficked world wide.
- To bring a message of hope and healing by sharing the love of Christ with those who have been victimized and abused.
- To empower people to live free, whole, and healed lives by touching one person, one community, and one nation at a time.

Kristin Renee Franks is a dynamic and enthusiastic Christian counselor, workshop leader, life coach, and missionary. Her vision is to bring a message of hope and healing to the nations. Kristin wants to empower and strategize with people on how to live whole, free, fulfilled, and purposeful lives. She is a compassionate leader and servant of the Lord who loves connecting with people of all races to share God’s word and His will with them. Through coaching, public speaking, and missions work, Kristin conveys God’s desire for his children to be healed from emotional pain and live victorious lives. Through practical and spiritual application, Kristin demonstrates how people can be set free from the negative mindsets, fears, and obstacles that block their destiny.
Kristin was born and raised in Newark, Delaware where she attended the University of Delaware in pursuit of an undergraduate degree in psychology. She received her Bachelor’s degree in May of 1997. It was at this point in Kristin’s life that God began to draw her closer to him. Kristin’s hunger and thirst for God began to grow after learning the truth about salvation through Christ, and she devoted her life to the Lord on October 8, 2000. She joined Church of the Redeemed of the Lord in Baltimore, Maryland where she became a faithful member serving on various ministries such as the Women’s Ministry, Take It To The Streets Inner City Outreach, and the International Missions Committee.
Kristin has traveled to do missions work in Israel, South Africa, Haiti, and the Bahamas. In May 2007. She received her Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling at Loyola College in Columbia, Maryland. It was during this program that her passion increased for counseling and ministering God’s word to those who are hurting and in despair. Her special area of interest is treating those suffering from depression, anxiety, and challenging life transitions. Kristin’s love for Christian Counseling led her to begin an in-home bible study for young women in need of support and healing. Kristin also travels to various churches to do workshops on building self-esteem, finding emotional healing, coping with loss, and other related topics. She has done counseling at various counseling centers and churches in Maryland including The Renaissance Center, The Severna Park Pregnancy Clinic, and Morning Star Baptist Church.
Kristin recently graduated from Global Leadership Training Center, a missionary training program which trains people who have a heart for the nations to become global leaders. Kristin has a deep passion to serve Christ and to serve his people by leading them into the their God-given purpose. The Lord has anointed her, “To bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and to open the prison doors to those who are bound [both emotionally and spiritually.]” (Isaiah 61:1) Kristin is the founder of Living Free Ministries ,which serves people of all nations by providing them with the emotional, spiritual, and practical resources they need in order to live fulfilled lives. Living Free Ministries is a ministry devoted to serving God by serving others. Its base scripture, “Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32) is the foundation of this ministry. Kristin is persuaded that through Jesus Christ; healing and freedom are possible for everyone who desires it. The freedom to live the life God intended for people to live is within their reach. A life filled with purpose, promise, hope, joy, and love is available to all who ask of Him. Her life scripture is, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36
